Royal trek got its name when King Charles (then Prince) and his 90 person’s entourage explored this route in the early eighties. This is one of the short and easy treks available near Pokhara passing through the foothills of the Annapurna Himalayas. The trek ends at the beautiful Begnas Lake.
This scenic lake lies about 15km west of Pokhara city. The Royal trek doesn’t need a camp crew and local homes are available for food and lodging throughout the trek. Staying with local family allows to enjoy the traditional lifestyles of the Gurungs and Brahmins of the area.
