Kathmandu has some historic wonders with ancient Newari culture and architecture. There is yet another rafting adventure on the Trishuli River that goes down the tropical plains of the Terai in Chitwan. Rafting is one of the thrilling adventures on Nepal’s raging rivers. There are some challenging rivers for more experienced travellers. Chitwan offers an unforgettable elephant safari in search of One-horned rhinos and Royal Bengal tigers. Besides that, canoe ride, village tour, bird watching and jungle walk are some regular features of Chitwan safari trips.

While travelling to Pokhara, a stopover in Bandipur gives a peace of mind. Bandipur is the prominent tourist attraction being the old Newari town and for the Himalayan panorama. It offers excellent views of the majestic Himalayas namely Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang Himal. Nature has gifted Pokhara with stunning attractions such as the panoramic views of the Annapurna and Fishtail, lakes and caves.

In addition to this, Pokhara owes its popularity by the enchanting Phewa Lake with the Barahi temple in the center. Therefore, it is also known as the city of lakes. An amazing aspect of Pokhara is the vanishing river- The Seti River. The river goes underground and vanishes in many places along its route through the city has many myths. Pokhara’s another attraction is the World Peace Pagoda located on the top of a hill across the Fewa Lake.

Itinerary

Reception by the Office Representative at the airport and we shall transfer you by our comfortable vehicle to a hotel located in the downtown followed by a short pre-trip meeting.

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of World Heritage Sites will be started by an experienced City Tour Guide. Tour includes to Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Patan Durbar Square. The entirely stone made Krishna Temple, three-storied golden temples and the three main courtyards of the Durbar Square are the main attractions of Patan. Then we drive back to our hotel.

After breakfast, we continue our tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square where we can visit the famous Kumari Ghar (Temple of Living Goddess) and the guide will give a short account of Nepal’s history and art related to the shrines and palaces located here. Then we continue our journey towards Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is considered as one of the oldest cities in town and famous for the 15th Century Palace of 55 Windows and the artistic courtyards along with the Golden Gate and Pagoda style temples. When the tour is over, we will drive to Nagarkot about 20 kilometers far from Bhaktapur City for overnight rest. Nagarkot is a popular hill station and provides panoramic view of the Himalayas. The snow peaks look especially gorgeous during sunset and sunrise from here.

We'll awake early to witness the spectacular dawn and the first rays of the sun firing over the Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and Everest in the Far East to Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the West. After this fantastic view, we sit back for a lovely breakfast. Then we take a drive for approximately 3-4 hours along the bank of the Trishuli River and meet the crew at Rafting site. Trishuli is an ideal beginners’ River. Lunch we'll be served after 3/4 hrs rafting at the riverside. After lunch, we will drive to Bandipur. Bandipur is also known as the museum of Newari culture situated 7 km above Dumbre Bazaar at an altitude of 1,005 meters. We stay overnight in Bandipur.

Bandipur is still untouched by modernization and laced with an abundance of ancient houses, temples of great cultural values and historical architecture. We will explore this little paradise in the morning and after breakfast; we will continue our journey towards Pokhara. This is about 2 hour scenic drive and we will pass through many village settlements and small towns. Our Pokhara tour starts with a boat ride on the beautiful Fewa Lake where we can see the shadow of Mt. Fishtail over the Lake water.

We drive to Sarangkot to witness the Himalayan panorama that dominates Pokhara City early morning. The towering Annapurna and the famous ‘Fishtail’ peaks are the highlights of this trip. We drive back to hotel for breakfast via the visit of sacred Bindhyabasini Temple. After breakfast, we will visit David Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and the World Peace Pagoda. We will also visit the International Mountain Museum before ending today’s tour. You are free to explore the colorful town in the evening.

After breakfast, our drive begins to Chitwan National Park through half of the same road we covered from Bandipur to Pokhara. There will be a short briefing on the program and facilities after rooms are assigned. Our tour starts with elephant back-ride safari to explore the jungle and wildlife where you will be able to see the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, leopard and if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours. After dinner, we are ready to witness the typical cultural dance performed by local Tharu community. This cultural show is known as Tharu Stick Dance.

With the wake-up call followed by tea or coffee we are ready for a Nature Walk. This encounter on foot with the environment will introduce the main features of Chitwan. Sal forest, open grassland and reverie jungle. Our guides will help you identify some species of birds, plants and other wildlife that you may encounter with. After lunch, we are ready for canoe trip on the Rapti River. A traditional dug-out canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds and the animals of the river banks. We continue our excursion to EBC (Elephant Breeding Camp) to learn more about these fascinating animals on a visit to the elephant stable.

After breakfast, we are now retracing our drive through the scenic Highway on the bank of the Trishuli River and end our tour in Kathmandu. After refreshing and taking some rest, we will join the typical Nepali dinner with live cultural program. The show ends at 9PM and we are back to the hotel for rest.

This is the time to say good-bye and transfer to airport. Fly out Kathmandu with some beautiful memories. The drive from Thamel to airport takes about half an hour and needs to report 2 and half hours before the flight time.
