Rivers in Nepal are graded on a scale from 1-6.

 Grade Whitewater Rafting Grading Table
Grade3+     The Trisuli River is one of the most popular rafting rivers because of its close location to Kathmandu and easy access by road. If you are rafting for the first time this is a great river to start with. 
Grade 4+The Kaligandaki River winds through remote canyons and deep gorges for three days of intense rapids. There are tremendous mountains views in this extreme wilderness.
Grade 5+The Bhote Koshi situated only three hours from Kathmandu is 26km of continuous whitewater rafting shooting through a maze of canyons and boulders in a two day rush of pure adrenaline.
Grade 5+The Marshyangdi River flows through the gorges of the Annapurna, sandwiched between 52km of boiling foam and towering peaks. 
Grade 5+ The Karnali River in the far west is the longest and largest river in Nepal. With its spectacular landscapes and narrow gorges it has the most challenging of rapids. 
Grade 5+The Sunkosi River offers a stretch of exhilarating whitewater which runs for an incredible 270km. This will take 8-10 days to complete with only road access at the beginning and end.
