Helambu Classic Trek

Overview

This trek makes a circuit of the Helambu region of Nepal through two different national parks, Langtang National Park and Shivapuri National Park. The trek is one that is comparatively straightforward as the elevations are lower, meaning less climbing as well as warmer temperatures it is also popular among trekkers who prefer the less crowded areas. The region offers a wide range of cultures; Sherpa, Tamang and Lama societies as well as monasteries, its famous apple production and spectacular scenery. There are around 510 species of flora and fauna and a view of the Langtang Himalayan range.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive Kathmandu (1337m), collect from airport and transfer to hotel. (H.B)
Day 02: Kathmandu guided sightseeing. There are a total of 7 World Heritage Sites. (H.B/D)
Day 03: Chisopani (2215m) (15km / 1 hour) drive by bus / car 
Day 04: Trek to Kutumasang (2470m)
Day 05: Trek to Tharepati (3510m) 
Day 06: Trek to Melamchigaon (2530m)
Day 07: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2740m)
Day 08: Trek to Sermathang (2590m)
Day 09: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar (870m) drive to Kathmandu (3 hours). Drive by bus /car 
Day 10: Depart Kathmandu.
