The Everest region also known as the Khumbu region in Nepal has drawn walkers, trekkers and mountaineers for many years now, it is justifiably regarded as the most famous trekking and mountaineering region in the world. Mt Everest is situated in the Sagarmatha National Park, a Natural World Heritage Site. It is the most concentrated mountain region with more than 200 peaks over 6000m and of course it is the home to the highest mountains including Mt Everest (8448m), Lhotse (8511m), Makalu (8470), Cho Oyu (8153m) and Nuptse (7879m) and includes one of the most beautiful of mountains, Ama Dablam (6856m). The region is also renowned for its Sherpa people and villages, Namche Bazaar being the capital of the Sherpa people, the area also has stunning Buddhist monasteries. On our treks in this region you can pick from the Classic Everest Base Camp trek, or you can choose a route off the beaten track. You can also combine a trek with a climb as we offer several ‘’Trekking Peaks’’ in the area. We fly to Lukla where the treks commence or we can take the more traditional route from Jiri which will take one more week and is where the famous 1953 expedition started out. We cater for individuals, groups and clubs.
