Annapurna Panorama

Overview

Annapurna Panorama is one of the most fascinating shorter treks in Nepal, which allows one to have a whole range of experiences in a comparatively short space of time. With striking close-up views of three of the highest peaks in Nepal namely Machhapuchhare (Fishtail – 6997m, 22,956ft), Annapurna (8091m, 26,545ft) and the 7th highest peak in the world Dhaulagiri (8167m, 26,795ft).

Of considerable interest on the trek are the typical Magar and Gurung villages of Ulleri and Ghandruk respectively. Ghorepani is the settlement below the famed vantage point of Poonhill (3193m). Poonhill at sunrise is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trek with beautiful panoramic views of the snow capped mountains of the Himalayas. When in Pokhara visit the International Mountain Museum and also the Gurkha Museum.
