Mt Everest 2011 Support TeamThe Mt Everest Climbing 2011 Summit Bid Expedition will be led by qualified and experienced leaders who have considerable 8,000m experience. They will be supported by a strong team of Sherpas who have summitted many times before. Climbing Sherpas’ Profiles:Pemba Rinjin Sherpa, born 1975, comes from Sankhuwasabha, Makalu Region, major climbs include Mt Everest (2007, 2006, 2005), Ama Dablam (2007), Makalu (2008) and Baruntse (2008, 2006).
Phurba Wangchu Sherpa, 1975, Solukhumbu, major climbs include Mt Everest (2008, 2007, 2006), Lhotse (2009), Baruntse (2008).
Dawa Jangbu Sherpa, 1979, Okhaldhunga, major climbs include Mt Everest (2008, 2007, 2006, 2005), Cho Oyu (2009), Shisapangma (2008).
Phursemba Sherpa, 1977, major climbs include Ama Dablam (2007), Baruntse (twice in 2008) and several trekking peaks.
Pasang Sherpa, 1983, climbs include Everest (2005), Cho Oyu (2007), Baruntse (2008), has received specialist training in Europe (and also climbed Elbrus, the highest point in Europe in 2007)
Expedition Guide- Tengi Jambu Sherpa,Tenzing has experience of over 22 years in the Nepal Himalayas. There is perhaps no route in the Nepal where Tenzing has not trekked before. He will be the senior guide/sirdar on our 2011 expedition.
Cook- Ang Kami Sherpa, Ang Kami is a very professional cook having spent over 15 years serving expedition groups in the mountains. He is one of our best rated cooks in the Himalayas. Ang Kami will join this expedition and provide a steady Everest Base Camp support. Comment from client "What he produced in that tent I battle to make in my own kitchen!".
