Our Objectives & Philosophy |
- S-Team Challenge is the Charity arm of trading company Trekking Encounters; our work is totally driven by the needs of Bright Land School, Kathmandu, Nepal
- When we undertake a project it is at the request of the school themselves - we don't impose our ideas, we just listen and then help them achieve what they feel they need
- We aim to ensure that all of our projects for Bright Land School are fully sustainable and that we maintain an ongoing and indefinite commitment
- The children, families and school staffs are involved from the design stage, to completion and then beyond
- To avoid donor dependency and to encourage a sense of ownership and responsibility for all our projects we insist on the active involvement and commitment from all children, families and staffs connected with Bright Land School. We ask them to contribute the equivalent of one third of the project's needs through the provision of labour, expertise and local material
- We not only try to help the people of Bright Land School, Kathmandu, Nepal, but to also help them, help themselves
- Fundamentally, we feel strongly that all of our projects are a joint effort between Bright Land School, S-Team Challenge and Trekking Encounters - we believe we are one community.
Bright Land School Pupils are Nepal’s future
