Community Projects

Nepal is regarded as one of the most under developed countries in the world; it is ranked the twelve poorest on earth. This is due to its difficult geographical location, limited access to development aid, inadequate resources and investment and an overall lack of awareness and education amongst the people.
 
Trekking Encounters donates a percentage of its profit to charities that work for environmental protection, education and health in Nepal.

We are committed to helping reduce the impact to the environment from our clients. We are life members of KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project) click here for more information.

• To ensure a favourable and better environment for poor students to pursue or to continue their studies.
• To help and support and educate for a better environment for Nepal's women.
• To organise or to co-ordinate free health camps in communities according to their need.
