Trekking or hiking is a significant attraction in Nepal and has been offered since the 1960's. The two most popular treks in Nepal are trekking to Everest Base Camp and trekking either around Annapurna or the Annapurna Circuit, which goes right around the Annapurna Himalayan range. There are numerous other treks available in the Everest, Annapurna and Langtang regions. We offer treks to Gokyo valley, the Lake and the top Gokyo Ri where one can enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu and other Himalayan mountains. Other popular regions include the Langtang, Helambu, Makalu, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, Dolpo and Rara. In western Nepal we specialise in classic and adventure treks. We can organise trekking over high passes for those who relish mountain challenges. You can also enjoy the cultural richness of Nepal en route by meeting some of the ethnic groups like Sherpa, Gurung, Rai, Thakali, and by viewing ancient monasteries, temples and sacred lakes on the different trekking trails. You could join our peak climbing trips to Island Peak, Mera Peak or Lobuche Peak. Alternatively, there are some expedition trips available to Baruntse, Amadablam and Cho Oyu.

Trekking In Nepal

Rara Lake having an area of 10.8 sq.km is the largest lake of Nepal and sits at an altitude of 2,980 meters (9,777ft) from sea level in the north-western high mountains of Nepal. This is still comparatively less explored area located in the Mugu district.

Tsum is derived from the Tibetan word 'Tsombo', which means vivid. Tsum Valley traditionally was a culturally distinct geographical region known as 'Tsum Tso Chucksums', which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory and lies in Gorkha district of Nepal.

The newly opened spectacular and unique Himalayan trail in the popular Annapurna region that starts at Besi-Sahar and passes through the Nar and Phu valleys is rich with ethnically-Tibetan origin inhabitants and a demanding adventure trek including the Thorung La.

The Everest three passes trek gives an all-round tour of the famous Khumbu Valley of Nepal. This is a hard trek leading to the Renjo la Pass, Gokyo Ri and over the Chola Pass making a circuit of Tawache and Cholatse, Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar and Kongma la Pass.

Sundarijal Nagarkot is the shortest trekking available closer to Kathmandu located at 12km north from the downtown. This trek is also known as Shivapuri trekking as it is situated in the Shivapuri National Park, the newly declared national park in Nepal.

Everest region has become a popular destination for short time trekking holidays, longer treks, high passes, adventure peaks, challenging expeditions of mountains above 8000 meters including the highest Mt. Everest, the story of Yeti and the Sherpa culture.

Mera Peak is the highest NMA listed trekking peak in Nepal, situated on the edge of famous Khumbu region and boasts an absolutely stunning summit panorama that includes five of the world's 8000m peaks - Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Everest.

Mount Ama Dablam is located in the famous Khumbu region of East Nepal just above the Tengboche monastery on the way to Everest Base Camp. Mt. Ama Dablam expedition is technically demanding and has it all ice, rock and the great base camp in a meadow with a stream.

Pisang Peak is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The peak lies roughly in between two gigantic Himalayan peaks, Annapurna I and Manaslu. Pisang Peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid.

Island Peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal, situated at the top of the Imja valley in the Khumbu region and surrounded by the Imja, Lhotse and Lhotse Shar glaciers. When the peak is viewed from above Dingboche, the mountain resembles to an island in a sea of ice.
